Birkelund

Apartment | Birkelund is a charming farm from the 1850's with five spacious holiday apartments that can house 2, 4, or 6 guests. The farm lays beautifully within 24 acres of property with woods, cliffs, meadows, and lakes. Lake Tværmyr with it's own dock and row boat. Here you'll find lots of space for relaxation, peace, and enjoying northern Bornholm's nature.

Birkelund lies along the hiking trail Højlyngsstien and very close to several of Bornholm's cycling routes. As a neighbour to Rø Golf Courses, you can see over towards the 9th hole in the Old Golf Course. If you linger a little too long at the 19th hole. then it's just a short walk along naturstien 'home' to Birkelund!

The holiday apartments at Birkelund are renovated with a bright and nordic expression. By the apartments you'll find a fire pit with lounge furniture, aswell as a greenhouse with sun beds, tables and chairs, even a small wood-burning oven. Here you can enjoy the lush nature when the danish weather isn't at it's best.

At Birkelund they work with sustainability as an integrated part of the farm - from waste sorting and hot air pumps, to reclaimed furniture and chargers for electric cars. Lovely cows roam the land to enhance the biodiversity at Birkelund. You are very welcome to go in and say hello to them - they are very sociable.

If you wish to wake up to birds tweeting, and maybe deers roaming alongside rabbits, and cranes on the meadows, the Birkelund offers lots of options for peace, outdoors, and relaxed pleasantry. Here's also open during the winter months, so that you may experience 'sunshine island' dressed in snow, and the breathtaking starry sky.
